Serving traditional Tuscan cuisine in a renovated 19th century pharmacy since 2001. Original chef and now part-owner, Michele Baldacci, has returned from his native Florence and rejuvenated the kitchen. His menu is full of authentic Tuscan dishes like Tripe "alla Fiorentina", pan-seared chicken livers, ribollita, braised goat, and wild boar "polpette". All of the pasta is made fresh daily, the Tuscan bread is baked on the premises, and only organic and free-range meats are used, including the legendary grass-fed Piedmontese Beef.
Sommelier and part-owner Rocco Spagnardi has similarly recreated the wine list into a showcase for some of the best wines Italy has to offer. Focusing on the lesser-known varietals, his list highlights some of Italy's most passionate producers, who take pride in respecting the unique characteristics of the land and grapes. From Malvasia and Schioppettino in Friuli, to Carricante and Nerello Mascallese in Sicily, his list is full of surprising, unique wines that are selected to pair with Chef Baldacci's menu.
